ImageRanger will try to find duplicated images even if the file meta information, file format or file resolution is different. For each duplicate image, the software will show the location in the dropdown menu. To get the actual location of the image on the drive, right click on the image and select Show in explorer. While you are browsing an image folder, ImageRanger will check in the background if a similar image has been already discovered.Īs soon as the same image is found, a special number appears on the image icon: When the operation is finished, the destination folder will contain only unique images in the same folder structure as they appear in the source location. While the batch operation is running, the number of found duplicates is shown in the progress window. Once the destination and source folders are selected, ImageRanger will search the source folder, including all subfolders, and determine if there are any duplicated images and the unique images are copied into the destination folder. The removal of duplicate images is supported in the batch processing mode. To automatically remove duplicate photos, choose Minimize Duplicates in the Batch submenu. Once a duplicate image is found, the confirmation dialog will pop up where you can choose to delete or ignore a new file.Īll previously found files are also displayed for your convenience, including the information about the file size, resolution and full path.Īutomatic removal in a single batch process The software will read all image files in the specified folders. In the configuration dialog it is possible to select several locations (for example, different storage drives).
